There’s no substitute for experience. Year after year, the more challenges we face, the better we become at dealing with them—until problem-solving has become second nature to us. This is the kind of experience that gives Winward Electrical Services in Northern Utah, the edge. Specialized jobs require specialized talents and we have the experience to satisfy your specialized needs.

Winward has been electrifying the Intermountain West for over 60 years. We pioneered the electrical contracting industry in 1956 and have since become one of the premier electrical contractors in the area. To us, relationships matter more than profits; our integrity is as valuable as our craftsmanship—and our craftsmanship is second to none. At Winward, “good enough” is a standard that we refuse to accept, and we continually strive to exceed industry expectations.

Winward Electrical Services History

Winward Electrical Services, Inc. had its start in 1956 when A.E. Winward began offering electrical service work in the Ogden area. A few years later, his two sons entered the business, and the company was formally incorporated.

In 1982, the Winward family sold the business to David Gerber and Toby Quesinberry. Bert Butters, grandson of A.E. Winward, had been working in the family business for over 20 years and was promoted to a principal. Together, they successfully grew the business into one of the area’s foremost electrical contracting companies.

In April 2014, Josh Maycock, Bert’s grandson, fulfilled his dream of joining Winward. He reopened the doors and incorporated the company as Winward Electrical Services, Inc. Since 2014, Josh and Bert have grown Winward into a multi-million dollar company, offering outstanding services and solutions to a wide range of clients.

Today, their clients receive the same level of exceptional service as was established over 60 years ago. With a strong legacy to build on, the Winward team is looking forward to many more years of service in and around the Intermountain West.
