Robert Propes
Division Manager, American Fork

Robert started his electrical career in 1987 as a power production specialist with the United States Air Force. He worked on long-range radar site power plants throughout Alaska, while also attending night school at the University of Alaska.

In 1992, after leaving the military, Robert attended the ITT technical school for computer-aided drafting. He was then able to secure employment with Mack/Fischbach and Moore Electrical Contracting and worked as the electrical drafter for the St. Louis Rams Stadium project.

Robert then secured employment in 1996 as an electrical designer with Bell Electrical Contractors where he worked on several design/build projects—including commercial buildings, hospitals, retirement facilities and multifamily dwelling units. In 2005, he was promoted to Director of Electrical Design and oversaw a team of designers for all design/build projects. Seven years later, Robert became an electrical estimator. He focused primarily on design/build projects while using his knowledge of electrical design to help win projects. Robert was then promoted to Director of Preconstruction in 2017 where he oversaw all estimating and design as well as business development.

In November of 2021, Robert joined Winward to oversee the American Fork office as Divisional Manager.

Robert enjoys his family, playing the guitar, travel and cooking.
